The good that comes is being closer to God and helping people. The harm is the pull that drifts you away from Him.

The Greek word for cheerful is hilaros.
This is a decision to give with intention, focus, and joy. Generosity is multiplied by God because He brings more seed for me to sow into the Kingdom.
What you give is multiplied by God. He brings more seed so you can sow again into His work. He gives more so you can keep giving, not to keep more. Generosity creates thanksgiving to God.
Your giving meets real needs and points people to God. It creates thanksgiving to God. People thank Him and praise Him for His help.
